When it comes to short-short films, I always appreciate the ones that end with an element of surprise. I feel that a film with such a short duration pays off well when it concludes with an unexpected hook, or perhaps even a cheeky predictable one. An ending that we see coming but don't know at which angle it's coming from.

 

When writing 'Red', I aimed to deliver just that. A quirky, light-hearted yet borderline-dark story. I had the joy of working with two young and talented upcoming Toronto actors, Laura and Aaron, who embodied their characters through and through. With a micro crew and two back-to-back night shoots, we put together this fun short.
