Emmanuel Kabongo

Emmanuel Kabongo is an award-winning lead actor, known for his captivating performances across film, television, and digital platforms. His career has garnered critical acclaim, including three Canadian Screen Award nominations for his work in Teenagers, Death She Wrote, and Chateau Laurier. Kabongo's exceptional talent has also earned him the Rising Star Award at the AfroGlobal Television Excellence Awards, Best Actor at the African Entertainment Awards.

His performance in the breakout movie SWAY received widespread praise from critics, further solidifying his status as a leading man in the industry. Kabongo continues to bring depth and authenticity to each character he portrays, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world.

Shailene Garnett
"SASHA"

Born in Montreal, Quebec, and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Shailene Garnett has quickly become a standout talent in the entertainment industry, bringing depth and authenticity to the roles that she takes on. She is perhaps best known for her performances as Iris Beals in the popular series Diggstown (CBC) and Nomi Johnson in the long-running series Murdoch Mysteries (CBC)

 

Shailene made her film debut in the American comedy-drama, The Best Man Holiday, and has continued to appear in notable projects such as Between (Netflix), Shadowhunters (Freeform), Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime) and more. Her ability to seamlessly transition between television and film has earned her critical acclaim, including her work in the feature film The Dirties, which won the Grand Jury Award at the SlamDance Film festival and received widespread recognition.

 

In addition to her acting career, Shailene is heavily involved in industry initiatives for underrepresented communities in Nova Scotia, Canada. She created and instructs the acting course for the highly regarded Black Above the Line training program. She is an acting mentor with Women in Film and Television (WIFT), and serves as the Canadian Content Curator for the Pan African Film Festival.

Emidio Lopes
"DARREN"

Emidio Lopes is a Black Angolan-Canadian actor fluent in English and Portuguese. He graduated from Toronto Academy Of Acting in 2017 and also took several workshop classes with Director Michael Kennedy. Since beginning his acting journey, Emidio has been in numerous short films, commercials and a Theatre Production, some of which have gone into the film festival circuit. Some of the titles include Heart StringsKeeping DavidHang UpKiller BananasThird LawPressure Play, the thought-provoking To Kill A Secret and most recently the feature film Because We Are.

Emidio currently trains at The Lighthouse Acting Studio under Angela Besharah, with whom he has studied since 2019. His recent credits include the NBC series The Irrational and the feature film Welcome, directed by Jevon Boreland and produced by Mark Taylor.

Brianna Goldie

Canadian actress and stuntwoman, Brianna Goldie has been making her mark on the international film scene. Within a few short years, Brianna has performed in top tier film and television series, such as The Expanse, Star Trek Discovery, Designated Survivor, 12 Monkeys, Suicide Squad, xXx, Ransom, Hannibal, Taken, Dark Matter, Defiance, Minority Report, Superbowl commercials and many more. Her success has given her confidence to pursue her dreams in film and television.

 

Brianna's warm sense of humour, small town roots and huge laugh contrast well with her self-discipline and boundless determination. She studied screenwriting at the University of Toronto and graduated from Second City's Improv Program, cutting her teeth on the Improv circuit, touring with the Canadian Improv Showcase. She's written and produced several comedy sketches and dreams of working on (and developing) large scale projects that merge both her stunt performing abilities and her quick comedic chops (female Jackie Chan).

 

She's never been one to shy away from challenging work. Moving forward in stride, Brianna has become a true force in film and entertainment.
